ESA Joins Allied Industries Supporting DOE Investments in ARPA-E, EERE
ESA signed a letter along with six other national energy trade associations addressed to House and Senate Appropriations Committee leadership seeking to support continued public investment in several Department of Energy (DOE) clean energy programs. The joint letter signatories ask that appropriators maintain investments in FY20 for the Advanced Research Projects Agency – Energy (ARPA-E), the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE), and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) that the White House has proposed cutting. ESA supports the various storage activities included in these programs, which ESA has separately proposed be included in a new DOE cross-cutting account with Office of Electricity storage activities.
