ESA Files Comments on USTR Proposed Sec 301 Tariffs on Chinese Imports

ESA filed comments yesterday in response to USTR’s Request for Comments on proposed 25% tariffs on Chinese goods, including batteries. In our comments, ESA discusses the growth and significance of the U.S. energy storage industry for electric grid modernization and new jobs and investment. ESA requests that USTR remove the specified battery technologies (HTSUS 8507.80 – “Other”) used in electric grid applications from the proposed list of tariffs.
